@logionX Origin is causing it, because Origin likes to be difficult.
Seriously though, this is a known issue with a few workarounds, none of which work for everyone. The next time you run a repair, you can try any or all of them:
- Set exceptions for Origin.exe and TS4_x64.exe in your antivirus
- Disable the Origin Client Service and Web Helper Service, which you can find in the Task Manager after opening Origin
- Disable hardware sharing within Origin
- Set Origin to only use one or two CPU cores: open the Task Manager, click the Details tab, right-click the Origin.exe entry, and choose "Set affinity"
The last option will likely make the repair process take longer, but at least your system shouldn't lock up while it's running.

Thanks for the reply.
Origin and it's services have already been added as "allow access" by my antivirus (Norton 360) and TS4_x64.exe.
I will try your other solutions but if I had to guess this sounds like a driver issue to me, because I have not encountered this before (which could hint that a windows update or origin update have caused it). I submitted a error report through origin in case it is.
