WASD <> arrow keys not responding in-game

So my little sis uses my pc to play Sims 4. She recently tried to update the game to the latest patch and she immediately ran into a weird issue. As her big sis, who doesn't really play the game but ...

    @7Freya7  What keyboard layout are you using, and what language is your game installed in?  Please check the layout in particular: some players find that they've accidentally changed it without noticing.

@puzzlezaddict Thank you so much! The keyboard was indeed in a different language input. English US instead of UK. And that didn't interact with the Sims game (English). THANK YOU
