Whats a secondary way to download Origin?
Thank you so much for the link although it did not work for me, my issue was far more advanced and took 2 hours on the phone with an EA associate, and we went through the following steps, which eventually fixed it.
Solution:
Issue: - Seeing a white screen when downloading origin on:
- ask to reset Internet Explorer via the Internet options page
- ask to re download Origin (no go)
- attempt to disable FW and AV
- Create new user / Switch user to alternative admin account to test the download for origin (no go)
- restart in safemode with networking ( no go due to internet connection issue)
- Download older version of Origin found under https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/operating-system-not-supported-by-origin
- set compatibility to run on vista SP2
- able to download and install origin but when downloading Sims 4 it is asking to download and install Origin/ update.
- advised to have the customer download the most resent VC++
- restart pc ( no go )
- ask to Disable origin In game overlay via Application settings of origin
- able to Download Sims 4 game now
- ask to observe as this should take 1 hour depending on the speed of net
- no other issue.
