Do you have a laptop ? Could you check on your temperature ? If the PC turns of it's usually an overheating issue.
Make sure you enable vsync in your options.

@meganrose1066 There are several ways to enable vsync and it depends on the video chip in your computer. There are 3 major video chips in use today - Intel, Nvidia and AMD (ATI). Vsync options is usually in the device driver and could be on the same page as the resolution.

Yup, happening to me too. Don’t know anything about Vsyn in options. Can you tell me more and how to adjust? Thanks for your help in this matter

Check that it is not overheating. Very common with laptops placed where they can not get sufficient airflow or the ventilation has become clogged.
