why can't my Sims get married?

Hello my fellow Sims 4 players! I am really getting frustrated here. I am on my fourth Sim couple. All four couples have successfully gotten engaged. The green and pink bars for each of the two Sims is full, as far as I can tell. I have bought a wedding arch. I have baked a cake and put a wedding topper on it. I have even bought and placed pre-made wedding sites. All of these things were in the online hints and so the Sim couple should be able to plan their wedding but the game still has the opposite sex Sim he/she is engaged to is always greyed out. But they can elope! What am i doing wrong here? I want to see a real wedding happen. No more eloping! Anyone have any tips? I'm almost at the end of my rope with this game not doing what it is supposed to do. Thanks.

    no it doesn't say why the other Sim is greyed out. This is my fourth set of Sim couples who live together and are engaged that I cannot plan a wedding for.

    Is either of your Sims in another relationship ?

    yeah neither Sim is in another relationship with someone else. The other night my female Sim from the household in question invited a female friend over whom the male Sim decided to flirt with! GRRR! So now I am having to work to get both the green and pink bars back up to 100% for both of those Sims. PS - where is the issues forum you moved my question to?

    I moved it from general info (which is usually more for chit chat and feedback then issues) to the tech issues forum (so here where you answered). Just wanted to make sure you get a message that it was moved and re-find your thread

    Haven't asked but are you using any mods in your game ?
