why can't young adults use romantic interactions?

so, i'm on my 3rd generation of sims, and they are all young adults. i tried making one sim do a romantic interaction with another sim, but i can't. they aren't related in any way, and the 1st two ge...

No, the romance option doesn't come up at all, as if my Sim was a child or teen

Have you tried to reset the sims? There's a cheat: resetsim (Name) (Surname)

Also, have you tried to do romantic interactions with other sims to know if the problem is one of your sims or just them as a couple? Which relationship does the game say they have?

    I tried resetting all the Sims and it didn't work. I tried other Sims and it worked for them so it's just this household. It says they all are friends, best friends even.

      did you ever figure out what was wrong? im currently having the same problem... and its the 3rd gen as well, but i did notice that i recently made a house of 8 men and 8 women and they have romance options, but all the sims i made except ones that are already married or already in a relationship, still are. what ever happened with your sims?
