@Shareallicu @mastermikeda1 As SecuROM and Safedisc are no longer supported by Microsoft Windows operating system and Apple OSX, EA requires users of this game to use the DRM of Origin. BTW activating this game in Origin is a stated requirement. SecuROM was poorly supported and sometimes conflicted with other software.
I can understand the first time you play, to have to sign into Origin, but every time I want to play is ridiculous! It's an offline game with online options. I like to play Sims 4 when my internet goes down, but I can't because of this... I miss the days when an offline game was an offline game. I don't know if I would have bought Sims 4 knowing it required internet connection to play. I won't be buying any more DLC's knowing this. I have offline games that are truly offline I would rather invest in for the days my internet is down.

Open Origin click Origin in the Menu. select offline.
