@9ljtxe6cqqp9  Please make sure there isn't a secondary Sims 4 user folder somewhere on your computer.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter UserSetting in the search field in the upper-right corner.  Every user folder should have one of these, so if you find one, click it and select Open file location, and you'll hopefully have found your other user data.

If you find another Sims 4 user folder, please rename it and try again to play.  This will prevent the game from reading its data, so if something is broken in this folder, the game should work again.

If you don't find another folder, or renaming it doesn't help, check whether Controlled Folder Access is active, and if it is, disable it, temporarily of course.

If none of this helps, try playing in a new admin Windows account.  Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account.  You'll be able to (try to) launch Sims 4 without reinstalling anything.

  • @9ljtxe6cqqp9  Before you do anything else, please make a backup of the saves folder so you don't lose it.  An external drive would be ideal, but if you don't have one, the Downloads folder on your computer should be okay for now.

Is OneDrive running on this computer?  Even if you never use it, that could be the reason your other files are missing.  So please check and let me know.

Please also let me know what antivirus you use.
