i know this is post is pretty old now but i was wondering if you think that this laptop would be able to run the sims 4 at least decently well? i'm pretty sure this ones different than the one they put.
@12021818 This laptop should be able to handle Sims 4, all current packs included, on low-medium graphics settings. Anything more than that would probably be a stretch, although it does depend to some extent on your play style.
What's your budget? I can try to find something a little better, although this is a pretty good deal for $300 U.S. If you'd like other suggestions, let me know.
@Overcast451 The Google search you've linked, and you only linked the search results, is for the original laptop, not the one the new poster linked. That laptop has completely different hardware and components not suitable for gaming; it doesn't take a review to know that.
I'm not sure what your point is here. Additionally, it's actually not at all a good idea to google laptop name plus gaming review. That's a great way to get a lot of misinformation, whether from reviews who don't have any meaningful technical expertise or from thinly-disguised sponsored content. It's also very easy to find a review for a different configuration, which will be extremely misleading if taken at face value.
I could list all the ways in which people might be confused, but that's not the point. The point is that people ask on this site because they want help navigating a process they're not equipped to handle or don't have time to learn themselves. Gaming reviews fall under the category of the information they'd like someone else to provide.

No problem, I'll bug off with my terrible suggestions. Have a great day!

i would really prefer to stay $300 or under but slightly over wont be too much of an issue. i would use all of the packs + cc and mods, which i know will affect the performance. thank you again for the response!

@12021818 I'm not seeing anything for $300 or less that's better than what you found, and not much that's even as good, certainly not for $250. If you're comfortable going to $330 though, this one is the next tier up in terms of performance:

You'd be looking at medium-high graphics settings with all packs installed, maybe high settings depending on your play style, or maybe medium if you like to use high poly (high-resolution) custom content. In any case, the improvement from a graphics standpoint would be significant. The laptop has the same memory and storage as the one you found.
Having said that, it's definitely a significant price increase to jump to the higher tier of performance. Whether it's worth the cost is your call.

hm ok. i'm willing to go up to $330 if it means the performance will be a lot more playable. Again thank you so so much for the help!!
