Will Sims 4 still be patched after Origin Access Basic subscrip. ends?
I've found people here very helpful in the past, so I'm hoping I can find help again with my current question.
I turned on 2-factor authentification in October for the one free month of Origin Access Basic that was being offered, and because it seemed like a good choice to make my account more secure. My Sims 4 game automatically updated to the Digital Deluxe edition upon launching the game for the first time in November, without me prompting it to. Then, today I patched my game with yesterday's November 12 patch.
My question is a two-parter that I haven't found the answer to yet, despite scouring the forums and Google:
1) Will I still maintain the Digital Deluxe content (Build/Buy & CAS content) after my non-recurring subscription ends on December 5th? (I would imagine I would not)
2) If not, and my game reverts back to the regular edition, will it still be patched? If it goes back to the regular edition and will, in fact, no longer be patched, is there a way to re-download the patch without reinstalling my Sims 4 game and expansion packs?
I understand if I can't keep the Digital Deluxe content, but my real worry is that by patching, if my game version reverts back to the regular edition, that it won't be patched or be able to be patched ever again.
Any insight and help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
@AalyahReed Yes, the Digital Deluxe content will disappear, but you'll still get patches. There's no reason that wouldn't work. If it did happen to get stuck, repairing the game and/or clearing Origin's cache would fix it, no reinstall necessary.
