Bought Sims Medieval on Steam, redeemed on Origin, refund process?

I bought the Sims Medieval on Steam some time ago, redeemed the product code from Steam here on Origin in order to repair and play (compatibility issues?) I finally got playing and discovered after about a couple of hours that it just wasn't my cup of tea at all. I haven't played it since and wanted to request a refund on Steam (which I have done) but I don't know how the fact that I have it redeemed on Origin will affect the refund process. The last thing I want is to be banned on Steam and/or Origin for some shady practices.
