Can’t download sims 2 university

I know there are a lot of posts out there already about this but everything I’ve seen so far doesn’t work. I have sims 2 downloaded already and works fine but every time I get to the end of downloading ts2 university it asks to update it which then fails😕 Has anyone figured this out yet?
