Your games should work on Windows 7. Have you installed all of the patches for the game? You should be able to purchase packs from eBay or Amazon as Origin appear to have discontinued the Sims 2, which is a shame because it's such a favourite of so many people.
Have you asked Origin to add the Sim 2 Ultimate Collection to your account?
