cant install the sims3 medieval pirates and nobles

I bought the sims3 medieval pirates and nobles expansion pack almost a year ago and I cant install it to my Mac. Im trying again today and the install is stuck on "item 41 out of 74". I left it to install all last night and the install progress bar moved maybe a centimeter. please help! =]

    Is your base game patched to the latest version? You can check this in your launcher:
