Hi!
I'm playing TS2 Ultimate Collection. I tried to send my Sim to a community lot, I chose where I wanted him to go, and the car left, but I didn't get the loading screen. Moments later, he reappeared on the road, and I am now unable to walk to lot, call taxi, or drive to any community lots, and the save button is grayed out although I can still exit to neighborhood; it just warns me that I'll exit without saving.
Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
@YuezhengLing , before this did you have any issues? Do you play with Mods or CC? It sounds like a mod or bad CC may be causing this to happen to your game. Please let me know before I suggest the next steps.
@Tremayne4260 I do have mods/cc. I have this issue where if a sim is backing out of the driveway, they get to the extension directly before the garage door and then glitch out and they have to be force error deleted.
I've discovered something else about this glitch: it seems to be that the sim driving glitches out and does the Move away! action that sims do to clear the driveway. Then, the car backs out and leaves by itself, leaving my sims behind. The car does not return and then the inability to save and travel happens again.
@YuezhengLing , ok this sounds like a mod or CC is conflicting with something in the game. So what I am about to suggest will "reset" the game to a vanilla state.
Go to your Documents folder and locate a folder called EA Games. Inside the folder should be a folder called "Sims 2" or some variation. Move (do not copy or create a short cut) this folder to your Desktop and restart the game. Sims 2 will regenerate a new folder. Start up a new game (remember none of your Mods, CC or saved games will be present) and see if your Sims can safely leave the lot and return again. This will confirm that one of your mods is preventing your Sims from leaving the lot. You'll need to add them back one my one to see which one is the "bad" one and check with the creator to see if there are any updates.

@Tremayne4260 I would do that, but I don't have a reliable way to replicate the glitch; it happens after hours of playing, and has only really happened to me twice. I don't know how to make it happen on purpose since there isn't really any specific circumstances I notice it happening in.
