Changing Language causes issues with townies in the sims 1 legacy collection

Hello Everyone. The issue i am having is actually very old and it is not new to the legacy collection. It does happen in every edition of the game.  i decided to test to see if this still happens...

I forgot to mention that this way to fix it was available for the sims complete collection but  with legacy the game seems to no longer require the registry.
