Hi, at the time of downloading the game on the EA app, I get an error at 14%. I don't really know what is the cause, I read on other forums that the problem has been resolved. I have already deleted the files from the computer, I tried to open the EA app from the administrator point, but the problem persists. How to fix it? ☹️
Yesterday I installed The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection on two machines my new 2022 laptop windows 11 and my old 2018 windows 10 old desktop.
Played the game for hours, had to reinstall the game on my window 10 machine.
Now it is stuck at 14% pause the download, says download error, calculating time.
It installed on TWO machines perfectly fine hours earlier, so I have no what's wrong with it.
I've cleared the EA app cache multiple times, uninstalled it and installed it, I even uninstalled EA app then installed the old version of origin and let it reinstall the new EA app.
It was working hours before, now it's not this makes no sense and you are forever stuck with EA app if you want to access your own copy of The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection.
Also my computer both Windows 10 and Windows 11 won't install my Sims 2 CDs, so this is very disappointing. Saying the program is blocked by the administrator, when I am the administrator.
That's crazy, cuz mine has been stuck at 14% too. What the hell.

I was having the same problem and i thought maybe it was the game (SPORE) so i ended up trying to download another game, a free game Alice: Madness Return, playing it for awhile and it ended up continuing the download like nothing happened but it still has the download error message underneath it. But it just completed downloading.
