Friday Highlight October 30 - A week on The Sims forums

Sul sul Simmers - and happy Halloween!

Unfortunately, this year's Halloween will be very different but I'm hoping you're all set for the spooky weekend (or a not so spooky one, whichever you prefer!). I know that I will spend this weekend bringing some spookiness and fancy costumes to my game to make up for the lack of "trick or treating" - what are your plans? 👻

This week on the forum has been another busy one.

  • The official Snowy Escape Gameplay Trailer dropped on Wednesday. If you missed or want to rewatch it, you find the trailer here.
  • On Thursday, we got an update on the plans for updating skin tones. If you want to find out more about what you can expect from the update in early December, check out this post.
  • And today, on Friday, it's finally time for the official live stream! You can watch it on Twitch or join the "let's watch it together"-thread here.


And now it's time for the highlights from our forum this week. Let's go! :)

  • After all this spookiness, let's kick things off with something nice and wholesome. @TeeSea's beautiful thread "Sims 4: What makes you smile" is a wonderful opportunity to think about the things we enjoy and love about Sims 4! :heart:
  • Next up: builds! You know how much I enjoy seeing and discovering all your amazing builds - needless to say, this community never disappoints! Today's pick is @emere's thread "♥♥ emere / osiazul showcase ♥♥ / The Forest Fairies Home!" I'm sure you will love these great creations as much as I do! :)
  • After building, let's move on to gameplay! We all know that even our Sims got bills to pay (unless they are among the lucky ones that live a sweet life filled with *motherlode*). Check out @NetflixianHere's thread and let us know "What career(s) do you usually go with, and what are the career(s) you stay away from?" :relaxed:
  • Okay, I those threads were lovely but I feel we need at least one pick that matches the season, don't you think ... so how about this one: @Kniga_Sitara asks "How do you play with bad Sims?" :naughty:
  • Since we are all stick stuck at home these days, there are probably a good few Simmers out there who have "Recently gone back to Sims 3" to switch things up. Why don't you share your experiences in @AnnaLoo91's thread and join the conversation? :smiley:

    Does anyone know how to post a picture without needing to use an url? Or do I have to use an url?

    @morganlefaye That's a fair question. To post pictures on the forum, you have to use a URL (for example, an online image hosting service). I'm sure some Simmers here could give you some handy tips of what has been working for them. :grin:

    @Experitculus Thank you for your kind words. The Sims forum is filled with incredibly talented people and you'll see many, many more excellent pictures! :)
