FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS, DECEMBER 1ST - A WEEK ON THE SIMS FORUMS

Sul sul friends!

It is December already, where does the time go?? I can't believe we are already entering the last month of the year 😱 It has started to get very chilly here 🥶 I guess we need to start getting ready to welcome Father Winter 🎅 Quickly, everyone puts on a Christmas avatar! Have you started to decorate your place for Christmas? Let us know ✨

What happened this week?

  • Have you seen the newest trailer for The Sims 4: For Rent? The one focuses on... mold 🍄 For some it's a definite no-go (don't worry, you will have the option to turn off this feature) and for others, it's just a new challenge to overcome - or to complete if you like causing the most original demise for your sims! Check out this new trailer below: https://twitter.com/TheSims/status/1729531705256763464

  • Later today, we will get to watch the Developer Deep Dive livestream for The Sims 4: For Rent, don't miss it! You can discuss the livestream and get all the info on the thread created by EA_Cade 😊

  • Speaking of EA_Cade, have you spotted this post? 👀 Is something coming up?

Now let's get to the highlights!

Gliding all the way into the weekend, posted here by @Ellupelluellu

  • For this week's poll, we have an intriguing question from @EnkiSchmidt: where should they place their landfill? First of all, I looove the background for this poll: robots-sims wake up in a huge deserted landfill surrounded with junkyards and desolation and will need to clean up those landfills and survive by earning money from fabricating items. As a fan of apocalyptic scenarios, I love to see those types of polls and world building 👀 I find it almost more difficult to create deserted and sorrowful landscapes in the game because of all the nice items and combinations we can make, and I think that EnkiSchmidt has done very well so far. We even get to meet the characters in the thread and to get a glimpse of the story. In the meantime, most of you have voted for Port Promise and it's the first world that came into my mind as well for this type of scenario 🤝 I think that Strangerville would also work well but then we would be missing the "big city" aspect that has to be included in the story, so that makes sense. Would you have chosen a different world for this type of build? If so, which one? Let us know!

  • This week we have a bit of an off topic creatd by @Princessss: what do you do when you're not simming? I love those types of discussion that allow us to know each other a little bit better 🥰 Princessss likes watching movies (Love Actually is a great choice for that time of the year) and drawing beautiful Disney characters, cyncie shows creative skills by playing instruments, sketching and writing, and Monokuma is never not simming - and there's nothing wrong with that! At the moment, I'm reading lots of comics and mangas but I also force myself to read books that don't contain pictures 🙈 I like drawing too and I recently bought myself a little kit of acrylic paint. But I won't lie and pretend that that's what I do most of the time, I watch a good bit of tv shows especially since it's getting very cold over here! What about you, what are your hobbies outside playing with your favourite housefolds?

  • With The Sims 4: For Rent around the corner, @DeadFishy is asking if you are likely to play more with the City Living expansion pack and especially with the world San Myshuno. I think if there is a world beside the upcoming world of Tomarang that is going to be a perfect match with residential buildings and rentals, it is San Myshuno! 🌆 In general, houses are more popular than appartments among simmers, and I can understand - they offer more building options. But it is exciting to notice that some of you are considering coming back to San Myshuno and I'm curious to see how the new pack will affect it. As a person who is not good at building houses from scratch and who often doesn't have the patience, City Living has made my life easier by providing me with beautiful ready-built appartments that only needs furniture and decorations, so I am excited to try it out in combination with The Sims 4: For Rent 🥰

  • On a different note, are your sims thinking of tying the knot? If they do, @AlJay has built the perfect place for you and has created the Mega Church Wedding Venue 💒💕 Located in Myshuno Meadows Church, this looks like the ideal venue for your sims and guests to share an unforgettable moment! I am in love (pun intended) with the huge windows, the chandelier and the abundance of flowers. It is looking stunning at day time and night time. If your sims are not having one of the best day of their life in here, I honestly don't know what they need!

  • Finally, @BeckyI7Fan has started an ABC challenge (if you don't know what it is, it's a challenge where your first created sim will start with the letter A, then the next sim of the household will have a name starting with B, C and so on) and is recording the progress on her blog. The first day of Alisha and Bruno in their new house since they got married has been uploaded and I'm inviting you to check it out! It looks like everything is going well for this couple as they are settling in their home and new neighborhood. I'm curious to see how the story will pan out and how the challenge will wrap up! In the meantime, it's nice to enjoy a nice, cosy slice of life 🥰

All right simmers, we have wrapped up another week of highlights! Enjoy the livestream later and stay warm. Dag dag!
