FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS JULY 7TH - A WEEK ON THE SIMS FORUMS

Sul Sul my lovelies!

Happy Friday and happy July! For my all U.S. Simmers, I hope you all had an exciting Independence Day- did you celebrate with delicious BBQ, a fireworks show, or maybe a pool party with your best friends and family? Give me all the details!

Just a quick recap on our updates from this week:

  • On Thursday, we got a more in-depth look at some of the gameplay features included with Horse Ranch in the new Official Gameplay Trailer! If you missed it, you'll definitely want to check this out, and don't forget to also join in on our trailer discussion thread here.

Now let's beam on down into the highlights!

  • I've been binging the newest season of Black Mirror lately, so I figured we'd kick this week off with this mind-bending discussion, An Alternate Slice of Reality brought to us by @Monet11. When you upload your Sims into the Gallery, do you ever consider that they might fall into the wrong hands? Perhaps someone has different intentions for your Sims, and creates an entire new life and storyline for your household than what you had originally designed. Do you trust that your Sims are safe in this new parallel universe? Do you wonder what will happen to them? If you're feeling brave, send your Sim through the looking glass and see how it plays out...

  • Up next - for our weekly featured build, we've got this delightful little Bedlington Boathouse renovated by @Ellupelluellu. This peaceful coastal home comes with an upstairs office and library, a full laundry and mud room, classic beachy and nautical décor throughout, and plenty of outdoor areas to relax and take in that Brindleton Bay breeze 🐚🏖️ This is the perfect getaway vacation home for any Sim - make sure you check this one out!

  • I Spy and Where's Waldo were always some of my favorite games to play when I was younger, but now we've got our own Sim version to enjoy, Spot My Sim, thanks to @NRowe! I Spy with my little eyes... is that a hidden Sim behind the dumpster? Under the trash pile? Or maybe hiding behind the bush? I obviously need to get my glasses prescription updated, but if you have better eyes than I do, be sure to share where you found the secret Sim (don't forget to add a spoiler!) and upload your own screenshots to keep this fun game going 🕵️

  • And for our Sims 3 player's this week, we've got a fun new gameplay challenge called The Centurion Challenge created by @lizzielilyy. This challenge is a twist on the classic decades challenge, where you'll get to pick a specific path for your founder to take. Each path has their own set of rules, goals, and lifetime wishes that you'll need to achieve before moving on to the next generation. The available paths are Rags to Riches, Socialite, Fairytale, Romantic, or Magic. So which path will you choose? Will you be starting as an optimistic peasant and slowly climb your way up to a humble millionaire? Or would you rather take the path of a shameless pirate and spend your life on the sea? 🏴‍☠️🌊 If you try this challenge, share with us which one you've picked!

  • With Horse Ranch only being 13 days away, let's finish this week off with a Horse Ranch giveaway hosted by our exceptional @simgirl1010. This giveaway is open now, and will be running until July 18th, with the lucky winner being announced on the 19th, so don't forget to enter if you're looking for a chance to win! For extra fun points, make sure you take the What Kind Of Horse Person Are You? quiz and share your results (In true Texan fashion, of course I got cowgirl 🤠🐴) Best of luck to everyone who enters!

And that will wrap us up for this week! As always, I hope you all stay safe, have a wonderful weekend, and happy Simming 💚
Till next time!
