FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS, OCT 20TH- A WEEK ON THE SIMS FORUMS

Sul sul everyone!

We've made it to another Friday, which means it's finally time for highlights! Have you all been enjoying the beautiful fall weather and spooky Halloween vibes? Have you been watching any good scary movies to celebrate the season? I'd love to hear everything you've all been up to!

Let's see what we can cook up with this week's highlights!

  • Let's get this week started with a creative new challenge, the Alphabet Super-Legacy Challenge, written by @Eleri. This challenge is a special twist on the Legacy Challenge, where each new generation represents a letter of the alphabet. Every generation must have a name that starts with their assigned letter, and they'll be working to achieve aspirations, skills and even complete a career dependent on the letter they've been given. So if you'd like to play through the alphabet and want to try a new version of a Legacy Challenge, be sure to check this challenge out!

  • Our Sims may not be made up of much more than pixels with some coding, but that doesn't mean we don't see them as real family. After spending so much time with our Sims, developing their skills and relationships and watching them grow, it's pretty easy to get emotionally attached. So @RedDestiny92 is asking how do you handle your Sims aging up, and how emotionally attached do you get? I love playing generational challenges and sticking to only one family, so it's pretty easy for me to get very invested with my Sims - 6 generations later and I still can't bring myself to age up my legacy founder into an elder. But how do you handle the inevitable aging of your favorite Sims? Do you look forward to each new lifestage as a celebration of your Sim's achievements, or do you dread the thought of them getting older and eventually passing on? Be sure to share with us how you handle the aging process! ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿง“๐Ÿผ

  • So your Sim has finally aged into an elder and is ready to enjoy their golden years - they're retired, achieved their life aspirations, and the grandkids are all grown up. But what now? Why not move them into an upscale senior living community like the Rio Verde Retirement Home, created by @tatselk! This luxurious community includes all the amenities anyone could ever want, with a full gym and pool, art studio, garden, and a home cinema to keep your Sims entertained! With in-house caretakers, your Sim will have plenty of time to focus on building new friendships and keeping their skills sharp. The classic Mission Revival style architecture and lush landscaping makes this home the perfect desert oasis for your elder Sim to enjoy the greatest years of their life!

  • Up next, for those of us who are not successful in reaching the elder lifestage, @Simmerville wants to know, do your Sims ever die unexpectedly? My Sims seem to be quite unfortunate, with multiple accidental deaths ranging from extreme embarrassment to death by the wishing well (and let's not even mention the amount of Sims killed by a fire ๐Ÿ”ฅโ˜ ๏ธ) but I think the most ridiculous accidental death I've ever seen was being crushed by a vending machine. So what kind of accidental deaths have you experienced? Are you as unlucky as I am, or are your Sims blessed with eternal life? Be sure to tell us about any unexpected accidental deaths you've encountered in your game!

  • We'll end our week with an immersive gameplay challenge story by @Belalucina, who's currently working through the Ultimate Decades Challenge with their Sim, Thomas Farvale - if you're not familiar with this particular challenge, the goal is to start a new game set in the 1300's and play until you reach current day. This week, we were introduced to our protagonist Thomas and his family as they forage and hunt for food, and tend their rural England farm. So will Thomas be able to find true love and create a successor to carry the family's name? Will he manage to become a successful fisherman? And will we ever find out where exactly his sisters slept in their small cottage? Be sure to follow along with this enveloping story to find out! ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿคด

And that's all for another week! As always, I hope you all stay safe, have a wonderful weekend, and happy Simming ๐Ÿ’š
Till next time!
