Glitchy

I just recently bought a new laptop and my first priority was to download all my sims 2 games. I have all the sims 2 expansion and stuff packs downloaded, but I don't have the holiday one(s). My games run absolutely fine on my desktop, but on my laptop it gets super glitchy. The game doesn't freeze or anything but it makes things disappear? Like I'm honestly not sure how to explain. Nothing actually disappears it just appears that way when I move my screen around or place walls/objects. Both my desktop and my laptop are hp. I already checked my graphics card on my laptop and it says it's up to date. I'm not sure what else you need to know.
