Yup. Lightening used to actually strike our house quite often. It was on the cusp of a hill, so it was a prime target. We had lightening rods on it so we never had a fire, but it used to take out our TV, periodically. And, I have a mild hearing loss in my right ear from lightning coming through the phone line while I was talking on the phone.
