Help Please! The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, black screen with mouse and sound

@sorca94 What operating system are you using? I think it can have issues with Windows 10. 

Can you try running the game In Windows XP Service Pack 3 Compatibility mode and see how you get on?

the thing is i have tried but it still goes  black screen...

You can also try checking for driver updates, but I fear you might have issues with getting such an old game running.

Try running your game windowed, to do that right-click on the .exe icon then go to properties, there you should see a line that says "Target:" and there is the directory of the .exe for the game. Don't chane any of that, simply go to the end of it and add " -w" without the quote marks. Then your game will run windowed. When the screen goes black after loading the neighborhood, press Alt+Tab to change back to your desktop, wait a few seconds and the taskbar should appear, now just click on the sims icon and the screen should show up properly

I had this problem then troubleshooted it with with the program compatibility troubleshooter and it told me to use the Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) then it was fine. This is with Windows 10.
