How do I enter buy mode in Sims 3 Xbox 360

I recently bought an Xbox 360 consol. I'm trying to play Sims 3 on it but I dont know how to get into buy mode. According to "Lessons" in the menu I should press X but that doesn't take me to buy mod...

    Hi there, @JaanasDotter 

    Try hitting the "Back" button and then select "Build & Buy". The "Back" button is a small button located to the lower left of Guide button.
