How do I play and save Sims Medieval on external hard drive

you probably already solved your issue or returned the game, but what I did is I moved my whole documents folder to my external hard drive. It allowed me to completely have all mods, cc, saves, etc. on my external hard drive as well as the games themselves. I have all the sims games on my external hard drive now. the only downside is that you won't be able to access your documents folder unless your external hard drive is plugged in, therefore I only did this on my personal gaming laptop. Hopefully this helps someone.
