How do you guys feel about Holidays in the Sims?

I prefer Sims 3 holidays, since the festival lots are open all season, but I do like the Sims 4 calendar system with the ability to add holidays (one of the only things I actually like more in Sims 4, though the actual holidays are a little meh).

I put up the decorations of my own background's holidays in my sims houses and Snowflake day is officially for ice skating in my game. I like Love Day and I do wish there was New Years in Sims 3. Spooky day stuff as an additional DLC was an abomination.
