i can not install the sims 2 on my pc. is there a way to fix this issue?

I was going through my old PC games and came across my sims 2 games. I was trying to download them but it doesn't work. Have been playing the sims since day one and sims 2 was my favorite. i really want to resolve this. How can i fix this issue.
