I want a Refund

I did not receive what I paid for, which was a game that I could play when I bought it.

It is not possible to contact EA. I've been through forum posts and scoured the site.

I don't know what to do besides file a complaint with the BBB.

You can check if your game qualifies for a refund using the information here: http://help.ea.com/en/article/returns-and-cancellations/

    Thanks.

Yeah. I did.  24 hours is a ridiculously short period of time for people who do more than sit at their computer/game all day. And I haven't launched sims 2 at all. I want my money back for a product that is broken.

Not happy with your game? Request a refund through this form.

The Great Game Guarantee allows you to return EA full-game downloads** (PC or Mac) and participating third party titles purchased on the EA app or Origin for Mac, for a full refund.

You can make a refund request:

    • Within 24 hours after you first launch the game.
    • Within fourteen days from the day you bought it, if you haven’t launched the game.
    • Within fourteen days from the release date if you pre-ordered the game, if you haven’t launched the game.

    Whichever comes first.

If you purchase a new EA game within the first 30 days of its release date and can't play it due to technical reasons within EA's control, you can request a refund within 72 hours after you first launch the game, instead of 24.

Learn more about the Great Game Guarantee on EA Help.

The Great Game Guarantee is in addition to any rights you have, including any right to a refund or other make good, by law, in your region. It's ridiculously short even if you do game all day. Maybe not for some of these quick-to-win normie boy games, but The Sims is the opposite of all those SMALL games. Everything takes longer to do in The Sims.

It's not even 24-hours played, though. If you encounter an issue 2 hours in, try to solve it, decide you want to consider a refund but want to sleep on it, go to sleep, and wake up to research and find that 25 hours passed since PURCHASE.

It's also sometimes irrelevant depending on what issues someone has. People re-opened games to find them unplayable. The patch that came days after launch requires some people to lose all their progress and consider not  playing now OR EVER. After update kids disappear AGAIN | EA Forums - 11866005 (Or is it all, are all "saves" / hoods played between Friday and the patch secretly retaining sim-breaking bugs that will perma-tarnish the save/hood?) EA broke this and messed it all up. Time's nearly irrelevant, here.

Sims 2 Legacy players need and deserve refunds.

  • Same, I'm beyond upset with this. I opened a chat with EA support and was told that they will not offer me a refund because I purchased the legacy bundle. I told them to refund me for both because the product was defective and they still said no. I'm considering just doing a chargeback on my card, I don't care if they ban me at this point because they practically abuse their customer base.

I "launched" the game but have never ever made it past the initial loading screen. Even after the most recent update. Because of this, even though I never even got to play the game, I can't get a refund?
