There is the key. Will offline single player gameplay be affected by online compatibility with mobile devices? The best of both worlds would be no, offline won't suffer, neither will online multiplayer cross platform. Can they deliver? Will online multi take precedence over offline single? Or will it be equal? The next few years will tell.
