I never had the chance to play with Sims Online because I was too young at the time, but I would LOVE to experience it now. I think the Sims could be really fun with friends.

You didn't miss much Megantjuhh. TSO was a big flop after EA made massive changes deep into the launch that affected most players and caused people to storm out in protest. The biggest change was lot categorization which happened after most players had expanded their lots to max size and bought various furnishings to accommodate all needs that we named "megalots". These were a problem in themselves as people would flock to the most active megalots to earn maximum benefits from them so they were often at max capacity whilst smaller lots were ignored. The lot categorization meant that only certain furnishings were now accessible to those lots. There was no refunds for the furnishings that no longer worked. On top of this there was a lack of monitorization of player chat and it was discovered that people were using the game for illegal activities such as weapons, drugs and human trafficking and plotting terrorist attacks. After many of the players quit the game many of the remaining lots turned into online brothels before EA pulled the plug on it.
If EA did decide to make a multiplayer Sims game it would probably be just multiplayer rather than an MMO like TSO due to experiences in the past plus the fact that despite the Sims community being pretty big it probably wouldn't financially justify requiring a dedicated MMO team of GMs and devs to troubleshoot and police the game.
