I think in general TS4 does fame better, but I absolutely miss the Golden Age aesthetic of The Sims 1's "Studio Town". I loved being able to build my own sets, liked seeing the little behind-the-scenes things like the guy in the soundroom. The minigames were fun, and I remember having my Sims check to see who was hot or not on a regular basis. The Sims 3 did have bands, though, which I miss sorely. But agreed, fame was entirely too easy to achieve in that one. TS4 isn't as grindingly hard as TS1's game-getting, etiher....remember having to constantly network with the "right people" to make sure you had enough star power among your friends? You'd be all set for promotion until one of your pals lost fame, then whoops!
