According to the latest numbers, Inzoi's player base is worse than Sims4. I'm wondering of the million or so copies sold, how many were refunded? I got mine refunded. I honestly feel Inzoi needs another few years of development, because it was not ready for release. https://www.thegamer.com/inzoi-is-now-at-lows-the-sims-4-hasnt-reached-in-four-years/
You know, I have to say I agree with you.
Early release should have been free.
At least Inzoi made a pretty penny with early access.
There's not much to accomplish in the game once you start playing and going through the motions of the game.
I do think this early access was a smart exciting move on Inzoi's part. This early access gives us, the player control in directing the Inzoi team on how to perfect their game.
Early access means unfinished. I'm only looking at progression right now with patches and fixes( improvements).
I'm glad they released the game prematurely. Now I know how to respond with positive feedback.

I see the Inzoi Creator Network is thriving already, I hope the pay is good :)

I think Paid Early Access has 5 goals :
- Fund the development (Literally no money = no final game)
- Check the success of the game (Failure = no final game)
- Deliver something to make the players wait (Because a too long wait decreases the number of fans.)
- Collect feedback to improve the final product (Customers' point of view matters)
- Free advertising campaign (Players will talk about the game around them)
And it's more difficult to turn a Free game into a $60/$80 game than the opposite Paid to Free. It would make many people very angry, it has a negative impact in term of reputation, perceived as a "Greedy" behavior.
TS4 in 2014 wasn't flagged as "early access", The Sims Forums were full of negative comments. But at the end it didn't matter because today TS4 annual revenue is over $1 billion.
Early Access or not, what really matters is where the studios will go in long term. As long as they provide what the players want, success will come naturally.

Wait! You got me here!😯
Isn't that what sims 4 did after how many years of the base costing 40$?!
I understand why people post complaints about sims 4 after investing into a billion dollar game full of bugs that profit on Quantity over Quality (fixes).
I agree with you on all your points. As far as I am concerned sims 4 base 10+yrs ago should have been a free base. There was nothing to do in the game after playing sims 3 base and expansions. After a decade+ I still don't have a simple pool table or animations for cars.
I think you are right with success coming naturally about a studio that is dedicated to the player base and actually wants real feedback in order to improve the gaming experience for their players.
Inzoi is not asking players to fix their game in my opinion. They are looking for positive feedback to improve the game along with fixing bugs right away without dumping new content on top of broken content.
I don't see Inzoi trying to pump out new gameplay like worlds and in-game activities just to stay alive.
Inzoi needs the rest of this year 2025 to prove themselves as a studio that is dedicated to making a great simulation game with less bugs than DLC! 🙂
Bugs versus DLC in the game. This is a fine balance of tuning in-game in order to play and gain enjoyment in the game.
Edit: Long sentences ...😐🙄🙂
