Launches, Keep Minimizing Game Window

I've played Sims Medieval for 60 hours up until college work kept me too busy to play. Yesterday, I tried to launch Sims Medieval. It successfully launched, but within seconds of loading, it minimized into my task bar. Every time I clicked to maximize it, it did the same thing, dropping back to the task bar after just a few seconds with nothing but a black screen and a mouse pointer. Every once in a while, it will play the loading music and have a loading cursor, but other than that, it refuses to run properly. I'm on Windows 7 and haven't changed operating systems or computers since the last time I successfully played. I can't even change it to windowed mode because I can't get past the initial lauch-loading sequence. I really enjoy playing the Sims, and I also have to make a similar post for the Sims 3. Please help me! :catsad:

-EDIT- I have tried uninstalling and re-installing, restarting Origin, and restarting my computer.
