I agree.
I really do hope that EA and the Sims 4 team don't go the route of using it to generate personality or make new patterns or take art from artists, or stop hiring artists in the game altogether, or hell, use it to replace the voice actors or even use it to write out storylines.
It would be absolutely heartbreaking, because yes, like yiu say, AI consums a lot of energy and water for it to run.
I've invested a lot of money into the game, and to hear that they will be using GENERATIVE AI just feels like a kick in the ribs to be honest.
It's meant to be an escape from the real world, (and to me, it was almost like a stronghold or fortress for my mental health that it didn't use gen ai), a quantum of solace in the ever-changing world, if you will. And now that they're inputting it, I kinda feel like my world is being rocked.
