Many Bugs Sims 2 Legacy

So my bugs started with a crash after CAS, I fixed this by reloading the game and selecting my family from the bin. Now my sims cannot finish making food. They go through the entire animation of cooking but once the food is done the stove stays open and no food is made. Another bug i recently encountered was when i was attempting to vacation. I could book the flight and go to the vacation world, but once i try to load into the community lot i get an infinite loading screen. I do not use mods or cheats. I just want to play the game.
