Midsummer Studios’ Life Simulation Game vs. Sims 5 (Rene)?

Bumping this thread because I think it's an interesting one. The fact that SimGuruGrant left Maxis and immediately joined a competitors' studio after working on the next sims game for close to 5 years is intriguing.

Side note: I really don't get why we had to move to a new forum, the old one had much better formatting and over a decades worth of threads that were pretty crucial for players.
