My saved games on Sims 2 Ultimate Collection are gone

I have successfully downloaded and installed The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection.

I managed to get the game running smoothly and played for an extended period of time.

I made a lot of progress and saved regularly.

I opened the game today. Firstly, the original 3 neighbourhoods don't show up at first (I have to open and close the game a few times) and then they are on the second 'page'. Is that normal?

I opened it up today and eventually got into Pleasantview, and both of the lots I played on are back to their original state. My saves are gone.

How can I find them? Why would this be happening and how can I prevent this? I can't play until I know my games will actually be there when I reopen ☹️

Please help.

Thanks

  • @Bel0951 , first of all to fix the resolution error, you'll need to search YouTube videos or simply Google search on how to fix the resolution for Sims 2. It's very easy. The second problem about saving games we need to figure out. First of all, locate your Sims 2 folder (Found Documents > EA Games > Sims 2). Try moving that folder to your Desktop. Do not copy and paste or create a shortcut. Actually move the file. Next start up the game, allowing a new folder to generate. Start a new game and play for about an hour to see if there are any additional problems. Save the game before exiting (which will help prevent your game from becoming corrupt if you simply exit and save) and then exit the game. Start the game up again and see if your family did save correctly.

Please let me know if this works.
