My Sims 2 Ultimate collection keeps giving me an error message!! Please help!!

Hi,the Sims 2 Ultimate collection I have on origin won;t play! Its giving me the error message "Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer. Application will now terminate."

My laptop is very new,and I looked up other peoples solution this exact problem,and I have either tried them and they didn't work or their solutions confused me. Of course one did work,and now I'm only able to play in windowed mode,and if possible I would much rather play in full screen mode.

Can anyone help me?!

    @Despop919 , this error messages usually appears if you haven't added your graphics card info with Graphics Rule Maker (make sure you download the latest version. 2.0 I think). It's very easy to use it will add everything you need to play in full screen mode. You can Google search for the site to download it from.

    which site do you go to? Because I googled graphics rule maker and went to the first site that came up and downloaded that and used the program and the outcome was the same unfortunately.

    there's one site I see thats only offering graphics rule maker 1.1? Maybe that'll help?

    @Despop919 Graphics Rules Maker 2.0.0 is available on the Sims Network website. Make sure that you use it to give the game some texture memory, increase the resolution and tick the first two settings (Disable texture memory estimate adjustment & Enable driver's memory manager).
    If windowed mode is the only way to avoid the error, there is a program called Borderless Gaming that will make the game fill the screen but keep it windowed (like The Sims 4's windowed fullscreen)
