New Sims 2 Ultimate blurry clothes?

Okay, so my graphics are on the max settings, I've fixed the 1920x1080 resolution thing, but all my clothes are blurry.  Faces, objects, everything is bright, crisp, and looks great but clothes (original and custom) is blurry, stuck in low res.  I've googled and searched for older threads from 2007-2009 and such, done everything they said to do, yet nothing has worked.  All my clothes remain blurry.

  • Okay, that didn't work either... BUT.. on a whim I decided to disable the default skin replacement that I had used and... it's all fixed... O_o So, seems it was an issue with the clothes rendering on top of the non-Maxis skin tone.

  • Try lowering your resolution. It won't hurt. The game wasn't originally programmed to run on that resolution so run it on the highest without editing the game files. Hope this helps 🙂

Well, I did try that but like I said, it's the clothes ONLY. Nothing else.    Plus, screen size doesn't have anything to do with it anyway.  The problem is as far as I know the standard "Your video card is better than it was meant to be so it's unable to detect settings" which is something that I have never understood why games can't be written so that they aren't like "Ack! Computer is too good, I shall cry now!" but then I am not that level of programmer.  But, if I had not edited the game files, then the ENTIRE game would still be in low res... that's the issue, it's only the clothes that are refusing to load properly.

When I ran it on my old computer I ran in 1024x768 or whatever which was what my computer could do, because that was Windows XP and the last generation of video cards that the game was created to "detect", but I knew people that ran the game at 1920x1080 just fine as their cards could do it.

Yeah I run mine at that res too (well will, I had to reinstall my game.) And I haven't had any problems to do with CAS. Can you post a picture with some of the blurry clothes in it?
