I guess we know why the whole sims 5 ..Project Rene .. has been axed, im assuming its because The Sims is now gonna be an actual movie produced by Margot Robbie, no kidding.. just like the Barbie movie.
This is why we are getting these updates and new packs im sure. Myself Im ok with that.. maybe will give EA more time to concentrate on what needs fixing before releasing a whole new game.
I can say im looking forward to seeing this movie .. i think it will be fun
I like Margot Robbie, in fact I like her a lot, but I can't imagine what a Sims movie would involve or be like. I didn't see Barbie, and didn't have a lot of interest in seeing it, either.

I think it would be fun. They should make fun of the players(simmers) just a little bit. We are a slightly different breed of gamers. 🙂

Margot Robbie is taking part in the production or directing of the film...not sure if she will be an actor in the movie. I think this movie will help the sims franchise just like Barbie helped Mattel's marketing. This is going to be a good comedy!
When did they announce that Project Rene was axed? I can't find any references. They did announce that they weren't doing a Sims 5, but they also (finally, after dropping hints for at least a year) spelled out that Project Rene is not the Sims 5.
You are right. Project Rene is Not sims 5. There's a new road map coming with this game, Project Rene, and it is not the new sims 5 game.
