The long-running stories I follow have their own separate websites with good chapter archives etc. so they aren't in danger of being deleted or anything. Er, maybe I should think of doing that for my own.

I do think we need to keep the master story and challenge threads, to make it easy for readers to find where their favorite stories are (or where they went) and for creators to update on an existing thread. (Despite the title, the challenge list has much more recent traffic.)
