Not able to run the Sims Medieval in my mac

Hello, I just bought the Sims Medieval Limited Edition with the two expansions, I install it and it doesn´t run.... It asks me if i want to update the game, i click accept, wait for the update to download and then nothing happens.. the launcher crashes, and it says this message:

The request timed out. (-1001)

I know that this question is solved already, it seems that everybody could do it but me. What am I doing wrong??
