Friday night, Lily aged up. She seems to have her mother's eyes instead of her father's. I don't think she is quite as pretty as Rose, but she is pretty just the same.
The next morning, Saturday, while the family members were all eating their breakfast, Rose's unwanted romantic interest, Carl Bachelor, hit on Lily long distance, while he was at his own house. He had never actually hit on Rose. Apparently, he thinks he likes Lily better - all the more reason for Rose to break it off with him. But, he'd better not think he's going to get Lily interested in him instead. She wants nothing to do with somebody like him.
After breakfast, Danielle started driving lessons with Lily. It wasn't nearly so easy for Lily as it had been for her older sister. She had to cut short the lessons, because she was so stressed.
Meanwhile, the rest of the family had gone to Romper Recreation Playground together, where they spent most of the rest of the day. Rose wanted to play her bass at the park, but first she joined Daisy in a game of hopscotch, which she won.
The boys had to try out the spring riders first.
Later they moved on to the seesaw, while Nathan pushed Daisy in a swing.
Rose started a jam session with her bass, to see if anyone would join her.
To her surprise, while no one joined her, several other sims gathered to watch, and started tipping her. Maybe she should be playing her guitar instead. She is better at it than at the bass. Her after school music classes have helped her instrumental skills considerably.
The driving lessons being over for the time being, mother and daughter joined the rest of the family at the playground. Danielle joined Rose's jam session, and Lily tried to unwind by simply watching them. She was approached by a teen boy I had not seen before. He's nice looking, and I was hoping he might be of a better character than the two I'd checked out when Rose was the only teen in the family. But no, he's a kleptomaniac and a slob, so after a brief conversation, Lily turned her attention back to the jam session.
By this time, Rose had earned 119 simoleons in tips with her bass, and switched to guitar, to see how that would go. Soon, another bass player joined the jam session.
Yet, although Danielle has nearly mastered the piano skill, while Rose still has a ways to go on the guitar, the only one being tipped was Rose. Maybe it's because of her virtuoso trait. She earned 25 simoleons in guitar tips, when they had to end the jam session in mid-afternoon and go home. There was another prom that night, and Rose and Lily would both be going.
Unfortunately, this prom didn't go so well for either of the girls. Lily was chosen prom queen, but after that, things went downhill for both girls. Lily was rejected for dances twice, and both girls were involved in fights, sometimes at their own instigation. This is completely out of character for either of them. I hate how the game pushes this stuff on every teen, no matter how they normally behave. I guess I'm going to take a look at retuner and see if I can eliminate some of those events. If not, maybe I should stop letting my teens go to the prom. Even more unfortunately, Lily is now romantically involved with the klepto babysitter. Both girls now have the unpleasant task ahead of them of breaking up with guys that are not right for them.
Back at home, the family sat down to a dinner of extra cheesy pizza. Nathan got up in the middle of his meal. I was puzzled at first, but then I remembered - it was Nathan's birthday.
Are you OK, Nathan?
Uh, I'm not sure.
No, I'm definitely not OK!
Danielle: You've still got it, honey.
Out watching the stars, Nathan's phone rings. He has more important things to do, so he ignores it.
As he proceeds to the next more important activity, that accursed phone rings again.
Forget the stupid phone, I'm busy!
And another Saturday playing with this large family is over. Next up - Sunday. Maybe it will be a good time for Rose and Lily to find those boys and tell them to take a hike.
