I'd also argue that this might be a "The Sims" game rather than Sims 5. EA did this with multiple franchises over the past years. They relaunched Need for Speed in 2015, they did it to Star Wars Battlefront when they overtook it -- and as they stated in the summit: the naming also hints towards that direction. But I guess naming doesn't really matter as long as the game is good. ?
