this post is more aimed at the actual sims team, but i want to confirm something as you have started reselling the sims 1 and 2 for modern devices.
In both of these games, they have the g word ( a word used against roma people). Has this been removed from the games before them being republished?
There's plenty of disagreement, including and maybe especially within the Roma community, as to whether "gypsy" is really a slur. It might depend on who is saying it and what culture and attitudes they represent. At least where I'm from, before the movement to retire the term had gained widespread attention, it tended to have a neutral-to-positive, even romantic connotation. I'll defer to the Roma on this one. (I have some Roma ancestry, but I realize that's not the same thing as being an actual member of the community.)
