Re: sims 2 Mac or Pc

@callie6000 , I'm guessing since your mother's computer is an older model that it has a disk drive as you will need that to play Sims 2 on a Windows computer. To be honest the only way to play Sims 2 on a Windows computer (all computers are PCs as it stands for Personal Computer 🤔) is by purchasing the disks which can be found on Amazon, E-Bay, local game stores that sell used games and in local thrift stores. Not sure how much it would cost as it would depend on what they were selling the games for. The one advantage that the Windows version has is that it contains all of the content released for Sims 2. The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection on Origin was retired in October 2018. So it is no longer available for free or for purchase.

I'm not sure if the Mac version still has the limitation of how much CC you can have in game, but I have limited my amount of CC simply because the game runs much faster. The Mac version only contains the content for the game from Base Game to Bon Voyage. So again that is up to you.

It is a matter of choice to be honest. The Mac version is much more stable than the Windows version as Aspyr has fixed the code and has updated the game with all the patches they originally released. You may have to patch and fix the Windows version to get it to run on your mother's computer, but it is still playable.

Thank you! You always give me the best Sims advice lol. That's what I thought that the Sims 2 is more suitable for PC, but unfortunately, the PC is too old and slow to run anything at the moment. At the moment, my Sims 2 game is OK. I downloaded sim blender and the bat box to help with the game.
