Re: sims medieval saves transfer

@asexualavenger , whenever you move your saves, you never simply replace the folder. What you need to do is transfer the contents of your Saved games folder to the new Saved games folder in your Sims Medieval folder. The game only recognizes the folders it builds, not the ones you replace.

So the best thing to do right now is to move your Sims Medieval folder (Found Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims Medieval) to your Desktop. Do not copy and paste or create a shortcut. Actually move the folder to your Desktop and start up the game. This will allow for the game to rebuild the Sims Medieval folder from which you can then transfer your saved games back to. You may have to replay the Tutorial to allow for the game to create a Saved games folder and then transfer your games back in.

Please let me know if this works.

  • it's half worked? My old saves for 'a new beginning' are playable but none of the other kingdom goals are. All my achievements have gone too.

@asexualavenger , I think those are stored in the User Presets file that is found in the Sims Medieval folder. Go back to your old computer, copy that file to your USB and replace the one on your new computer.

That should reset your Achievements and Kingdom Goals.

Please let me know if this works. 🙂
