@smilesong , hello. I know that other people have been able to get The Sims to run on their computers, but I am not sure of exactly what they did. The last person I helped with The Sims, had to do a clean install of the game. Make sure to move any files from Documents > EA Games > The Sims to your Desktop (please do not copy or create a short cut for these files.)

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately it did not work. Microsoft told me it won't work on Windows 10 because of some kind of safe disc thing on the computer (which they not only disabled but removed from Win 10) - I was very surprised to find it for sale for so much on Amazon when it isn't even supported anymore. it is obvious still a very popular game. I have Sims 3 - it is okay - no desire to play Sims 4 and I hear Sims 2 is no longer supported either. I have some old hard drives with earlier versions of windows on them - I plan to try to play it from one of those. I do appreciate you taking the time to respond.
