@Tremayne4260 That's a pain. Unless I can track down an old PC with Windows XP on it, I won't be able to play it. Tried everything to get it to work. Thanks for the information. I suppose it will stay boxed until EA decide to do us a favour and re-lease the originals on origin or similar.
@FrozenWillow1980 Old systems might not be necessary, I had managed to play The Sims Complete Collection on Windows 10 and 11 before.
If I remember correctly, SimsVIP and Pleasant Sims have resources on getting the game to run on modern systems, they are worth checking out. I am not sure how different separate pack installations are from Complete Collection, but they might work.
